Apple’s CEO Tim Cook really wants you to buy an iPhone X. And according to him, it’s not that expensive.

This is the day. the iPhone X is officially available starting this friday, nov 3. During a report on the fiscal Q4  revenue and profit, CEO Tim Cook had a little comment about the price of the device, which starts at 1000 dollars.

Expensive ? Think not… Tim Cook said that, based on monthly installment plans (roughly 50 dollars a month), « if you think about that, that’s a few coffees a week. It’s less than a coffee a day at one of these nice coffee places », like Starbucks for instance… So yeah, you can definitely afford an iPhone X. You just need to sleep a bit more, you’ll drink less coffee…

Tim Cook admitted that the iPhone X is not for everybody, though. « We tried hard to have an iPhone that is as affordable as possible for people who really want an iPhone that may have a more limited budget; and we’ve got some iPhones that are really great for that market; and then we’ve got three new iPhones and people will look at them and decide which ones they wantz.

Talking about the releases of the iPhone 8 and the iPhone 8 Plus earlier this year, Cook said they « are our two most popular iPhone models ». iPhone X is expected to top them, although it will be available in limited quantities in the coming weeks.
