Seven Earth-Sized Worlds near TRAPPIST-1

It’s probably one of the most important discovery of the last few years. Nasa announced the finding of Seven Earth-Sized Worlds near TRAPPIST-1, a dwarf star that is 8 percent the mass of our Sun.

Michaël Gillon of the University of Liège in Belgium, published a paper about the incredible discovery in Nature. The discovery was made possible via NASA’s Spitzer Space Telescope, mainly.

“The star is so small and cold that the planets are temperate, which means that they could have some liquid water and maybe life by extension on the surface,” Gillon said. During that conference, they also seemed very excited about the possibility to find life outside our solar system in this decade, or the next. SO… here it comes Alien Life !

Here is a video explaining it all
